Young female researchers: Call for application

Mentoring Deutschschweiz - the program for young, female researchers pursuing an academic career - announces its 8th round. Mentoring Deutschschweiz invites applications from women academics holding a PhD at the Universities of Basel, Bern, Fribourg, Lucerne, St. Gallen, Zurich, the Università della Svizzera italiana as well as of the EAWAG. The program will start on 1 September 2014 and ends in January 2016.

Do you want to actively propel your career? Are you interested in an exchange with a mentor and with peers? The program facilitates a mentoring relationship with an experienced academic, offers workshops adjusted to your career stage and organizes individual counseling and coaching sessions.
Please have a look at the website www.academic-mentoring.ch/en for more information about workshop contents, dates and participation requirements. Be aware that a basic knowledge of German is necessary (reading and listening). An information event will take place on 22 May 2014 at the University of Lucerne for which you can register online. The deadline for applications is Friday, 13 June 2014. Applications must be submitted by postal mail. The University of Zurich will support 10-12 women academics holding a PhD and who are active in teaching and/or research at UZH.

Mentoring Deutschschweiz is sponsored by the Offices of Gender Equality at the Universities of Basel, Bern, Fribourg, Lucerne, St. Gallen, Zurich, the Università della Svizzera italiana and the EAWAG. Since 2016, the program is financially supported by the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF).
